Iowa is well-known for walleye fishing. It's rivers, natural and shallow lakes, large and small reservoirs are all good spots for fishing that Old Marble Eyes. There are all different Walleye magazines that list and publish different perfect spots for that walleye fishing habit of yours. When ice starts dissolving, small rivers produce quality fish.

There is a certain lake that is great to fish walleyes. It is the lake locally called as "Storm Lake." During the month of April; people can also opt to go fishing by using stick and baits at their reservoirs and dams. And just a few weeks have passed; the one called "Clear Lake" also starts to become a good fishing spot with the start of the spawning season there.

The months of May and June become wonderful times too for fishing different waters like the Three Mile, Brushy Creek, Big Creek, and the Twelve Mile. June is the best month to fish at Spirit Lake for walleyes. An advice here is to fish at around mid-depths to very deep waters as the fishes tend to spread horizontally during that time.

And finally, during the month of November; this is the month where fishing enthusiasts should look forward to night fishing. During this month, the night action is really high and people can really fish out walleyes.
