Utah got its name from the Ute Indians, who had been settlers of region. Ute means 'people of the mountains which basically described the ancient Utahns. Salt Lake City which is the largest of all the cities in Utah is also its capital.

It is no doubt, Utah is known as a skii haven. From the international airport, Utah has seven great skiing resorts; Park City, Deer Valley, Brighton, Alta, Solitude, Snowbird and the The Canyons. Located at ninety miles north of the Salt Lake City is Logan. Not only is it enriched with splendid mountains but the city is also a good spot for hiking, camping, Alpine skiing, fishing and boating.

Known as the Mountainland Region, Prov is a city found in the middle of Utah Valley. The Wasatch Mountains, Oquirrh Mountains, Mount Timpanogos and Mount Nebo are the proud peaks on Prov. During the 2002 Winter Olympic Games, Olympic Women's Hockey games was hosted at The Peaks Ice Arena. Other Provo attractions are Utah Valley Symphony, Utah Lake State Park, Sundance Resort, Brigham Young University, Provo Town Square, Historical Doll Museum, Seven Peaks Resort Water Park and the Provo LDS Temple.
