About Markiewicz Funeral Home
We are proud of our family's long tradition of funeral service, beginning with our founder, Sam Markiewicz, who in 1890, opened his funeral home and furniture store on Main Street. His son, Vic Sr. moved the firm to our present location in 1948, operating the business until his retirement in 1975.In 2006, Matt purchased the business from Vic. Also in 2006, Matt hired the first, non-family member, full-time employee, Robert Theis. Sadly, in May of 2007, Victor R. Markiewicz passed away, after a battle with cancer.
