Brockton is a city in Plymouth County, Massachusetts, United States; the population was 93,810 in the 2010 Census. Brockton, along with Plymouth, are the county seats of Plymouth County. Brockton is one of the windiest cities in the United States, with an average wind speed of 14.3 mph. It was also ranked the second most violent city in the state of Massachusetts for three consecutive years in 2012, 2013, and 2014. Brockton was listed among the top 100 most dangerous cities in the country by neighborhoodscouts, ranking in as the 41st most violent city in the country in 2014.
