History

The post office began operation in 1899, with Timothy L. The city of Vesta was platted in 1899 and incorporated February 9, 1900. After 1898, the Chicago and North Western Railway had a station. The population was 339 at the 2000 census.

According to Minnesota Place Names, Vesta Township was settled in 1868 and organized May 20, 1880. Crowley as first postmaster.
