Our Service
Prior to the Service

Production of a video tribute.
Coordinating with the minister to line up the day, time and location of the service and obtaining his fees; schedule time for delivery of flowers, casket or urn, memory items, etc to the location.
Contacting the cemetery to schedule burial, making sure plot and opening and closing are paid in advance.
Contacting the VFW/American Legion and appropriate military branch to coordinate military honors which includes obtaining the DD214 and faxing to appropriate branch.
Coordinating with musicians and obtaining their fees, or assisting the family with attaining or downloading music for the service.
Entering information in the memorial register book, including a description of flowers delivered and who they are from
Cutting out the obituary from the newspaper and laminating for the family (we give one free when we are involved in the service)
Putting together a memory candle (again, we give one free when we are involved in the service)
Preparing the appropriate honorariums

The Day of the Service

We are at the church at least 1 hour prior to the service.
Transporting the urn, memorial book and folders, flowers and personal items, honorariums to the service.
Distributing the honorariums to the appropriate people.
Setting up the flowers in an appealing array.
Making sure all in attendance sign the register book and have a memorial folder. If it looks like we will run short of folders, more will be printed (if we designed the folders here).
Assisting with ushering
Coordinating with the minister and musicians to ensure everything is ready to go and cuing up the music if CD's are used.
Procuring reserved seating for the family and ushers and then ushering the family in at the appropriate time.
Moving the memory items to the reception area.
Ushering the family and congregation out at the appropriate time.
Moving the flowers to the reception area
Staying to the end of the reception to box up the memory items, giving the family all the belongings
Delivering the flowers to the family home or to a designated nursing home.

After the service

Follow-up on the Death Certificate, obtain certified copies and deliver to family.
Double checking with family to see that everything was returned
