Ivan C. Slotto, lived in Fillmore ND....I knew Ivan, and his family, very well....Ivan was one year ahead of me in the Fillmore Public School. Ivan's father was a talented, and very hard working blacksmith, in Fillmore. Ivan, while in the Army, visited me, and Edwin T Thompson, while we were in US Navy Boot Camp, Great lakes, Illinois...about December 1944. Ivan was a good friend, and a multi-talented person, a very hard worker!

Paul Alfred (Bud) Tholl Book of Memories. To Mimi and the family of Bud, My name is Jim Wilson of Sparks, NV. I had the priviledge of spending three days with Bud on the Honor Flight to DC. We "buddied up" for the three days. I enjoyed him and I knew that he was a man that I would have liked to know better. I'm sorry for your loss - he must have been a great man. Sincerely, Jim Wilson

So sorry to hear about Mr. Slotto. He taught me chemistry at Reno High in l955, and is the reason I pursued a career in nursing. He gave us confidence, encouraged us through difficult times; I always felt that he took a real interest in each of us. I retired from nursing in 2006. Thank you so much; I will always remember you. I am so sorry to hear of the passing of Ivan Slotto. I still have furniture he made from many years ago. What a great carpenter. His dear wife worked with me for years. What a lovely family he had. His wife was the best worker.. so helpful to me. Marie Hopkins
