Ed & Vi Brown moved to Borger in November, 1944 to establish a Funeral Home and Flower Shop. They had moved from Austin, Texas where they met and were married, and where Ed managed the Weed Funeral Home for 15 years. During that time he was commissioned as a funeral director in charge of establishing the State Cemetery, where many Texas heroes' graves were relocated.
