Radford (formerly Lovely Mount, Central City, English Ferry and Ingle's Ferry) is an independent city in the U.S. state of Virginia. As of the 2010 census, the population was 16,408. History

Radford and the towns of Blacksburg, Virginia and Christiansburg, Virginia are the three principal municipalities of the Blacksburg-Christiansburg-Radford, VA MSA Metropolitan Statistical Area which encompasses those municipalities and all of Montgomery County for statistical purposes. The Bureau of Economic Analysis combines the city of Radford with neighboring Montgomery County, Virginia county for statistical purposes. The population was 15,859 at the United States Census 2000 census. Radford is an independent city in Virginia, United States. .
