The population was 961 at the 2000 United States Census census. Quinter is a city in Gove County, Kansas County, Kansas, United States. The city received some slight national publicity in November 2006 when longtime resident Waldo McBurney, age 104, was proclaimed the oldest worker in the United States. Castle Rock, Kansas Rock is located south of the city. .
