History

Wisner, a vice president of the Sioux City and Pacific Rail Road. Wisner is a city in Cuming County, Nebraska County, Nebraska, United States. The Fremont, Elkhorn and Missouri Valley Railroad stockholders purchased the tract of land and named it Wisner after S.P. Hence, the livestock feeding industry developed in close proximity of Wisner. The township where Wisner was platted, Elmont Township, was soon renamed Wisner Township.
