Batesland (Lakota: íŋyaŋ šála; \"Red Stone\") is a town in Oglala Lakota County, South Dakota, United States. (Until 2015, Oglala Lakota County was known as Shannon County.) The population was 108 at the 2010 census.

The addition joined the original town site on the east. Tellifero, who erected the first building on the town site that year and opened a store. In 1929 the first addition to Batesland was surveyed and platted. The town was named in honor of Charles H. The original town site covered 80 acres.
