History

Hewitt, an employee of the Missouri, Kansas and Texas (KATY) Railroad. Many of Warren's descendants still live in Hewitt, which today is a suburb of Waco, Texas. In 1890, 60 residents called Hewitt home, with approximately 10,000 finding the town the place to be today. The steady upward growth that continued for more than a century gave way to a 700 percent population boom. The city was featured in the film 'Harold & Kumar Escape from Guantanamo Bay', including the fictional Hewitt Regional Airport.
