Nahcotta was once the northern terminal of the Ilwaco Railway and Navigation Company, a narrow gauge railroad which ran from Ilwaco, Washington and later from Megler, in southwestern Pacific County, up the Long Beach Peninsula to Nahcotta and back, once a day.
