History

The first US Postmaster was appointed to Hingham on February 11, 1910 and the town was incorporated in 1917. The population was 157 at the 2000 United States Census census.

Hingham is a small agricultural community founded along the Great Northern Railroad. The town is served by North Star Schools which is a consolidation of Rudyard, Hingham, Gildford and Kremlin schools. In its hayday many of the businesses were centered around the town park giving it the nickname "The Town on the Square". Hingham is a town in Hill County, Montana County, Montana, United States.
