In 1989, Mills Corporation was sold and Larry came back to McAlester with Carol to build and open Bishop Funeral Service. Says Larry Bishop, "One of my goals was to bring local ownership back to the funeral business in Pittsburg County.” In 1996, they added a crematory in order to better serve the families who have come to trust them.
