Fairview is the oldest cemetery in Midland county. It is owned and very well maintained by the county. In 2004, closed for new burials, except for previously purchased lots. It has all types of burials, including many pioneer and civil war burials.
New lots are no longer sold. Burials in owned lots are still available. The office staff requires a family member contact them to obtain plot information and directions to a grave marker. They will not give it out to photo volunteers who are not family.
