Strolling the 40-acre grounds of Calvary Cemetery is a walk though Seattle’s past. Members of the Catholic community buried at Calvary include Union and Confederate veterans of the Civil War and refugees from the war in Vietnam. Teamster president Dave Beck keeps company with pioneer Seattle industrialist William Piggott. The priests of the Archdiocese of Seattle are at rest here along with members of several communities of women religious.
