History
The city had its first mayor, Charles Barton Crosno, in 1893 when it was made the county seat of the newly established Lincoln County, and was incorporated in 1905. As of the United States 2000 Census census, the city had a total population of 3,472. The mill was not yet complete when World War I ended. Toledo is a city located on the Yaquina River and along US Route 20 (Oregon) Route 20 in Lincoln County, Oregon County, Oregon, United States. The county seat moved from Toledo to Newport, Oregon in 1954.
