In 1995 Peter and Mary purchased what was then the Dewey Funeral Home. Out of respect for Mr. Dewey and the 40 years that he served the Phelps area they retained his name and and called it the Cheney-Dewey Funeral Home Inc. In 1999 the Cheney's decided it was time to look to the future and created what is now the Cheney Funeral Home.
Our main goal is to serve every family with respect and take care of even the smallest of details that make the funeral service for the deceased a positive memory.
